IV. POLICY
- Employees are free to participate in various community and public affairs as long as the time given to these activities does not interfere with their work schedule.
- Employees cannot solicit any money, influence, or services to aid or promote any political committee or the nomination or election of any person to public office during working hours. Conversely, no one should attempt to force employees to influence or give money or services to aid any such committee or to promote the nomination or election of any person to public office. Employees of educational institutions are exempt from the restrictions of the Federal Hatch Act. Any questions concerning regulations governing political activity should be directed to your supervisor or the Human Resources Office.
