If you are new to using the My Media tool, please read the Guide to the My Media and Media Gallery Tools before proceeding.
This tutorial will show you how to move media from the My Media tool into the Media Gallery tool. Only you can view media in the My Media tool unless you embed the media into a page or share the link. When students select the My Media tool in their personal accounts, they see their own media instead of yours. If you want your students to be able to access media without embedding the media into a specific location, you will need to put the media into the Media Gallery tool because when students select this tool in their own accounts, they will see your media.
Open the My Media tool and then open the media you want to copy into the Media Gallery by selecting its name.
Select the Actions dropdown menu and select Publish.
Select the Published option and then select the classes in which you want the media to appear in the Media Gallery tools. Next, select Save.
You will see a green bar with a message about your media being published successfully, and you will see which courses you have published the media at the bottom. Select Back to return to your media.
