The University's conduct resolution system does permit appeals when:

  1. New information is discovered that was unavailable at the time of the Conduct Review. The new information must place in doubt the outcome that was reached by the UCSD.
  2. The UCSD failed to follow its procedures and, by doing so, the student did not receive a fair Review.

Students must be able to raise and substantiate at least one of these two issues for an appeal to be granted and considered. Therefore, appeals are not automatic.
