The University's conduct resolution system does permit appeals when:
- New information is discovered that was unavailable at the time of the Conduct Review. The new information must place in doubt the outcome that was reached by the UCSD.
- The UCSD failed to follow its procedures and, by doing so, the student did not receive a fair Review.
Students must be able to raise and substantiate at least one of these two issues for an appeal to be granted and considered. Therefore, appeals are not automatic.
