The short answer is you might have to repay some or all of your financial aid. Whether or not you must repay some or all of your financial aid is based on continuing to be enrolled at the same status you indicated on your financial aid application. For example, if you indicated you were a full-time student the Government expects you to maintain full-time status. If withdrawing from a course causes you to fall below full-time status, you'll probably be expected to repay some of the aid you received. If you withdraw from all of your courses, you'll probably need to repay most, if not all, of your aid. In addition to considering your status as a student, the Government also considers when in the semester you decide to withdraw.

The best thing to do is talk to an employee at the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office so they can advise you on repayment if you intend to withdraw from courses. To schedule an appointment with a financial aid counselor call 435-586-7735.
