Students typically have until the fourteenth (14th) day of the semester to decide if they want to remain enrolled in the courses for which they registered. Within this time frame, students may notify the Registrar's Office that they no longer intend to participate in a course. As long as students notify the registrar prior to the deadline, they can remove a course from their schedule without it appearing on their transcript. If a student decides to stop participating in a course after the deadline, the Registrar's Office will include the course on their transcript and issue a 'W' which stands for "Withdrawal." The deadline changes each semester so students should consult with the current issue of the Academic Catalog to identify the deadline for each semester.
