This tutorial will show you how to add contact methods such as your email address, phone number, Facebook account, etc. to your Canvas profile.
Select the Account button in the pane on the left. Then select Settings.
To add an email address:
Bring your attention to the Ways to Contact pane on the right. Select Add Email Address
Type in your email address and then select Register Email.
Select Ok, Thanks and then go to the email account for the email you just added to find the confirmation link.
Open the confirmation link and then log back into Canvas as you are prompted. You should see a green bar at the top of the page if your email address has been successfully confirmed.
To add a phone number:
Select Add Contact Method in the pane on the right.
Select United States and then type in your phone number and select a carrier. The SMS Email section will be automatically filled in. Then select Register SMS.
Do not close the next window that appears. Wait for a confirmation text, and then type in the confirmation number before selecting Confirm.
You should see a green bar at the top of the page if your phone number has been successfully confirmed.
If your contact method has issues, you will see a yellow warning triangle.
To add a Facebook, Skype, etc. account:
Scroll down to the Web Services section of the page. If you would like to add any of the services in the Other Services column, select that service and then follow the onscreen prompts. If you don’t want other users to see for which services you have registered, deselect the appropriate box.
